In all honesty, I've spent most of my writing years being a fangirl and entertaining other fans with my fantasies. Sounds downright creepy. I think everyone who has at least tried out fanfiction has realized this beforehand. So let's get on with the other hobbies this fanwriter has.

One hobby of mine is reading
I love to read. In fact, I love to read so much I even collect books. And not only just books, fanfiction stories as well. Once you find yourself liking a fan-created story, there's no turning back from down the alley. Oh no, you might suddenly find yourself sleep-deprived at some point, because you can't tear your eyes from the computer screen, because the fan-created world has already caught you in its web.
... well, that's how I'd describe my obsession for fanfiction writing. And it's not necessarily bad, really. In fact, I rather liked the times I spent entertaining other readers and myself included with a story that's not canon or that needs character study.
My choice of books are mostly written in English/American English, within the genres of mystery, romance, drama, thriller and history. I adore witty writing styles like Laurell K. Hamilton and Christine Dodd. I adore mystery thrillers written by Tess Gerritsen and fantasy novels by Terry Brooks, Nora Roberts and J. K. Rowlings. Though my list of favorite writers is really long, these names are just a few that I can name at the top of my head.

Drawing had been my first hobby before I discovered writing stories and reading fiction/non-fiction. Using a pencil had been fun while I created an image that looked passable (not stick-figures, mind you) and showed the art around. But recent years I hardly even touch a pencil to draw something at all other than the occasional gift art for friends or people I admire.

Photoshop is a difficult program to learn on your own. I gave up several times even, until at some point I told myself that I should just follow the tutorial steps and try to understand how everything works. And yeah, my skills in photoshop is passable enough to encourage me to make banners/headers/signature signs/icons. So now I really enjoy making pretty stuff like that on sporadic basis.

One day, I will attempt to write an original novel. I've several plot lines stored somewhere. Working out the details will only be a matter of time and dedication to research. :D So before that time actually comes, I'll continue to practice my writing in the fandom world.
